- OnBoard
Kids can try dinghy sailing for free at the Show with the OnBoard (OB) programme. OnBoard is organised by the RYA with main partner TEAMORIGIN, and supported by Sunsail, the British Marine Federation, Sport England and the Foundation for Sport and the Arts.
- Racing Power Boats
There will be a number of racing powerboats doing high speed runs throughout the day giving the public the chance to see and hear the tuned up race boats at speed. All of these boats are current race boats with all the latest racing tweaks and modifications making them as loud as F1 cars in some cases.
- Thundercats
The Marine Experience is proud to host the third heat of the Thundercat National Championship - with the Royal Victoria Dock hosting one of the circuit events. This massive event will see two classes of boats competing for points and glory, and 18 teams vying for supremacy.
- Viper Jet Boats
For even more racing thrills, don't miss the nimble, jet powered Vipers. These small, dual-seater racers push out up to 200hp with engines standing at about 2.5 litres each. Vipers can turn very tight corners and throttle up to speeds in excess of 60mph - catch them in action!!
- Head to Head Racing
The Head to Head racing is a chance to see just who is best on the water. Racing all different craft against each other on a short course. The course has straights and tight corners so you can expect to see the lead changing hands several times throughout the race as the different crafts strengths play to their advantage on different parts of the course.
