The Co-operative Insurance Greener Driving Pavilion & EV Village

Sponsored by The Co-operative Insurance in association with ACT ON CO2, The Co-operative Insurance Greener Driving Pavilion will feature interactive displays, vehicle cutaways and simulators alongside exciting new environmental automotive technologies including fuel cells, electric vehicles and hybrids.

The Co-operative Insurance Greener Driving Pavilion also includes the Electric Vehicle Village and will be the venue for the inaugural ‘What Car? Green Awards 2008’, the overall winner of which will be on display throughout the show.

Visitors to The Co-operative Insurance Stand within the Greener Driving Pavilion will also have the chance to enter a free prize draw to WIN a Mazda2 supermini, one of the greenest most fuel-efficient cars in its class!

Our aim is to inform and educate visitors on saving money as well as the environment, whilst providing a sneak preview of what tomorrow's motorist might be driving, so please come along and visit us.

The Department for Transport's ACT ON CO2 campaign co-sponsors the Greener Driving Pavilion at the Motor Show. The campaign aims to provide simple information to help consumers pick a more fuel efficient car and drive it in a more fuel efficient way. By following this advice, people can reduce CO2 emissions, cut costs and help tackle climate change.

At the ACT ON CO2 website you can find out which new cars have the lowest emissions according to their What Car? class - from supermini to performance models. There are also tips for saving fuel as you drive - such as making sure tyres are pumped up to the right level.
