How do I get to ExCeL?

What parking is there on site?

There are 11,000 parking spaces for The British International Motor Show. If you decide to drive on the day, you will be directed to a satellite car-park where you will then be transported to the venue via a 'park and ride' scheme, but we do suggest you take advantage of public transport.

I've never been on the DLR before, how frequently does it travel?

The Docklands Light Railway consistently ranks as the most effective train service in the UK, over the last 12 months with 97.45% reliability. The DLR currently transports 50 million people per year in comfort. Each train takes 400 people and currently runs services at an average of 9 trains per hour on the Beckton Line. During The British International Motor Show there will be an enhanced service, which may be as much as 1 train per 2 minutes, on a shuttle loop from the Jubilee Line at Canning Town to ExCeL London at Custom House so that's potentially 12,000 people on the DLR alone.

What is the disabled access for ExCeL.?

Is there a discount on tickets for disabled visitors?

Ticket prices for registered disabled visitors are as per the standard ticket prices, however one carer per disabled visitor can enter for free.

Can I book my tickets with a coach company?

Yes our preferred coach company is National Express, visit their website or call 08457 80 80 80.

Where are the coach pick and drop off points?

At the East side of ExCeL, there will be a coach drop off point, however, coaches are not allowed to park here, but they will be directed on arrival.

What food & beverage facilities are there at the event?

Visit the relevant area on the ExCeL London site to find out about eating and drinking at the event.

What vehicle manufacturers will be at the event?

The World's major car brands will be at The British International Motor Show. The first list will be announced in the New Year. Please keep checking the Exhibitor section updates.

Will there be any celebrity appearances?

Yes, there will also be an array of appearances, all of which will be confirmed at a later date.

Is there a Cloakroom?

The main cloakroom is located on Level 0 within the boulevard.

Where are the toilets?

The main toilets are located within the boulevard on Level 0, as well as throughout the south and north halls.

Are there Baby changing facilities?

For parents with children, baby-changing facilities are conveniently available within the boulevard on Level 0.

Is there First Aid on hand?

A fully equipped Medical Treatment Room, located on Level 0 in the boulevard, is manned by a Nurse Manager from 8am - 8pm daly.

Are there any banks at the venue?

You'll find Barclays and HSBC ATM's situated in the boulevard where all bankcards are accepted. The nearest banks including a cashier service are located at Canary Wharf, approx 15-minutes from ExCeL London.

Is there a Creche?

The British International Motor Show does not have a crèche although there is privately run nursery called Leapfrog adjacent to the venue.

Leapfrog provides a safe, clean and contemporary environment for 100 children aged 3 months to 5 years. A separate créche facility is available for parents wishing to leave their children in reliable care for just a few hours whilst attending events at ExCeL London. Please be aware that the créche requires one week notice, and is unable to accept children without prior notice.

Can I use my wireless laptop?

At ExCeL London you are able to access the internet on your laptop and hand held device via BT Openzone - the leading provider for public wireless LAN. Through BT Openzone, you can sit in one of the many cafes and bars situated in ExCeL's boulevard with a coffee, and log onto the internet using your laptop just as if you were in the office. You can chose from a variety of payment options to suit your needs, ranging from pre-paid vouchers, pay as you go to subscriptions. Pre Pay vouchers are available at the InTouch Helpdesk on Level 0. A one hour pass costs just £6 for usage in a 24 hour period or a 24 hour pass is just £15 for unlimited usage.

Is there a Business Centre?

For all your business needs including photocopying, faxing, courier and freight solutions and essential office supplies, please visit the Business Services unit at the West End of the boulevard. Telephone +44 (0) 20 7069 5050.

If I am unable to attend BIMS am I able to get a refund on my ticket?

All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Once I am at the event, can I leave the site and then re-enter BIMS?

No, your ticket is only valid for one entry.

What is the difference between buying 1st Day tickets and normal days?

There are only a limited number of tickets on sale for 1st Day - 25,000 compared to 50,000 on normal days. 1st Day will give you the opportunity to experience unveilings of never before seen cars, celebrities and try out the feature areas without the queues.

First Day tickets cost £25.00.
