Lives – Broadcasters’ using their own satellite trucks:

There are a limited number of locations around the perimeter of the Excel building for TV satellite trucks. Any broadcaster wanting to come with a satellite truck should contact motorshownews@markettiers4dc.com as soon as possible to secure a location and because there are license issues on some areas of the site

Markettiers4dc will hold a recce with all broadcasters bringing trucks in the week before the Show. Locations for each truck on Press Day will be allocated to broadcasters on Friday 18th July.

Markettiers4dc will have a dedicated team making sure all trucks get in position and handling any logistical needs throughout the afternoon/evening of Monday 21st July and throughout Press Day.

Live, free of charge satellite facilities for broadcasters on Press Day

Markettiers4dc will have their own satellite truck on site throughout Press Day, with an open link to the BT Tower. The truck is available – free of charge - for any broadcasters for live interviews, 'as lives' or feeding back rushes to newsrooms. Broadcasters will need to bring their own cameraman and camera for any interviews.

Any broadcaster wanting to use this facility should contact markettiers4dc as soon as possible if they want to maximise their chances of securing their most ideal time(s). markettiers4dc will confirm exact timings given to each broadcaster on the morning of Monday 21st July.

Press Day Highlights footage

Markettiers4dc are filming throughout Press Day morning and afternoon. Loosely edited B Roll highlights will be available via the BT Tower at: 12.00-12.15 BST and 16.30-16.45 BST on Tuesday 22nd July.

The footage will include all the glitz and the glamour of the Show, including the key launches, the features and soundbites from top celebrities and the Show Director. The footage will be shot to broadcast news standards, be free of charge and have no copyright restrictions. Hard copies will be available to be biked/couriered to broadcasters from early on 23rd July.

Press Day Highlights footage – available worldwide

The Press Day highlights packages will also be available free of charge to broadcasters worldwide via the APTN Global Video Wire at 12.15 – 12.30 GMT and  22.00 – 22.15 GMT on Tuesday 22nd July.

After Press Day

TV crews can film every day at the Show, including bringing their own satellite trucks for lives. Contact motorshownews@markettiers4dc.com for all enquiries.

Radio 

Broadcasting Live from the Show:

Markettiers4dc has an onsite studio with ISDN and engineers at ExCeL to allow radio stations to broadcast their programmes live from the Show. Any station wanting to use this facility needs to contact motorshownews@markettiers4dc.com as soon as possible.

Markettiers4dc will also have a second onsite studio dedicated to offering live or pre-recorded down the line interviews with:

  • The Show spokespeople - two from the SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) and two from IMIE Ltd (The Show organisers)
  • Celebrity guests
  • Vehicle manufacturer and exhibitor CEOs, MDs and spokespeople
  • and even the leading stars of the Motor Show Music Festival.

 

Send a Reporter to the Show:

Any station can send a Reporter to the Show to gather audio material. Our ISDN studio facilities can be used for two-way interviews between these reporters and your studio.

Ticket Give Aways:

Markettiers4dc has a significant number of tickets to the Show to give away as radio competition prizes between now and the end of the Show. If you want to run competitions, please get in touch via motorshownews@markettiers4dc.com as soon as possible.

 

Pre-recorded Newsbites and Audio Feature material:

Markettiers4dc will be interviewing the Show spokespeople and making Newsbites available for stations to download from our media portal – www.presskits.co.uk - on both the day before Press Day (Monday 21st July) and on Press Day.

We will also be producing a longer Audio Feature on Press Day focusing on the glamour of the day and including soundbites from celebrities, Show spokespeople and exhibitors.

After Press Day

Markettiers4dc studio will remain at ExCeL for the duration of the Show, allowing stations to broadcast programmes live at any time and take interviews with Show spokespeople, celebrities, vehicle manufacturer & exhibitor spokespeople and even the leading stars from the Motor Show Music Festival.

Reporters can ALSO come to the Show any day after Press Day.

Press Day Video Feature

markettiers4dc will be filming throughout Press Day and producing a Press Day Video Feature for all web sites. This will be available to web sites free of charge on the morning of Wednesday 23rd July.
